If you’re a Florida beekeeper (or interested in becoming one), there is a new portal through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), called Plant Pay. The FDACS Plant Pay Portal is designed to pay invoices, manage your apiary registration, and print any certificates that you may need.

What Is the Plant Pay Portal?

According to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), the Plant Pay Portal allows beekeepers (and other agricultural industries) to:

Pay invoices
View and print certificates
Manage registered locations
Apply for new registrations

This makes it the main online hub for tasks you’d otherwise mail in or complete through your inspector.

Here are a few easy steps you can take to ensure a smooth transition process:

Step 1: Accessing and Signing into the Portal

Start here: https://plantpay.fdacs.gov/fdacs

You can:

Sign in with an existing account, or
Create a new account if you’ve never used the system before

Once logged in, you’ll see your dashboard with your invoices, certificates, and any actions requiring your attention (*Please note: if any of the following sections do NOT have the information you are looking for, contact the FDACS helpline: 1-800-HELP-FLA or https://contact.fdacs.gov/)

Step 2: Viewing and Paying Your Invoices

To manage your beekeeping invoices:

Navigate to the Invoices section.
You will see a list of standard invoices and potentially bulk invoices depending on your operation.
Select any invoice to view details or make a payment.

Step 3: Managing Your Bee Yards & Registration

Florida law requires all beekeepers to register with FDACS. You can review this requirement here: https://www.fdacs.gov/Agriculture-Industry/Bees-Apiary/Beekeeper-Registration

Inside the Plant Pay Portal, beekeepers can manage:

Registered apiary locations
Certificates related to registration
Applications for new locations

The portal centralizes information so you can easily stay compliant without paperwork and mail delays.

Step 4: Printing Certificates

Need proof of registration? You can view and print certificates directly from the portal — a huge time saver compared to waiting for mailed copies.

It is recommended that you keep digital and printed copies on hand, especially if you are a migratory beekeeper.

Step 5: Applying for New Registrations or Making Changes

If you:

Are submitting a new registration application
Need updated documents

The Plant Pay Portal allows you to apply or update online. This reduces errors and speeds up processing since information goes directly to FDACS.

Final Thoughts

The Plant Pay Portal may look like one more thing to manage, but once you get comfortable with it, it becomes an incredibly helpful tool. Everything you need as a registered Florida beekeeper — invoices, certificates, locations — is right there in one place.
