Abstract

This document provides an overview of Acer rubrum ‘Autumn Flame,’ a fast-growing Red Maple cultivar valued for its dense, symmetrical crown and vibrant red to yellow fall color. Native to North America, it thrives in USDA hardiness zones 4A–8B and prefers moist soils, though it tolerates various soil types. The tree reaches 45–50 feet in height and is suitable for street, shade, and ornamental use. Management considerations include pruning for structural integrity and monitoring for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies. Its adaptability and striking seasonal display make it a popular choice for landscapes and urban environments.
