Choosing Suitable Trees for Urban and Suburban Sites: Site Evaluation and Species

In 2025, as an administrative change, the UF/IFAS Department of Environmental Horticulture was sunsetted. Faculty and staff were rehomed to other departments, primarily the Departments of Horticultural Sciences and Agronomy (turf), and the School of Forest, Fisheries and Geomatics Sciences (arboriculture).

Note: In March 2021, the UF/IFAS School of Forest Resources and Conservation (SFRC) changed its name to the School of Forest, Fisheries, and Geomatics Sciences (FFGS). Older publications will still use the older name.
